(If you can make anything out of this picture, more power to ya!)
We had the Ultrasound appt. today, and it was discovered that we're having a:
At first when she told us, I didn't see it, but apparently Steven saw it too. We talked about how cool it was, checked other things and she filled out some boxes. When it came to the gender she made sure to check BOY, and in the back of my mind I was a tiny bit worried, and hoped that it was for sure a boy. Just because I felt she just decided that quickly and since I couldn't see how it was a boy, but thankfully she came back once she was done with all the things she needed to do and said "ok, let's have another look at this boy" Whew!! I just wanted it to be what it was for sure. Didn't want to expect a boy and have it be a girl last minute...that's all! Everything else she was checking for was normal and fine, which is a huge blessing that I'm thankful for. Organs working properly, measuring just right and growing normally. No signs of any defects that they look for this early on, I mean who knows in the end right. But so far, so good!
Right after we left the Doctor's office we headed over to Target and bought our first baby item.
Here is little baby boy's outfit he's wearing on his way home. Not gonna lie, when looking for Baby stuff, girly things just always attract my eyes, but this is gonna be one COOL dude. Still trying to let the fact that I'm going to be a boy mom sink in, but truth be told, I AM SO EXCITED!! when I see other people's boy's I do think they're so adorable. Just like little men! And well, if he looks anything like the Steve-O when he was little, then I'm down with that!! He did tell me to feel free to have all the girls I want after this one, he just wanted the first one to be the big brother, so he looks after his siblings. Haha, thanks you Y chromosome giver, good to know I can now feel free!! sheesh!! ;)
Well that's all folks. Here is another one for your viewing pleasure. I love the profile pictures. And let's face it, I LOVE my son!

Hallow...Weeners!!
October is over. wow. Now on to getting used to it being Noviembre!
On the 24th of this month we went on a date to celebrate our one year anniversary of when we got engaged. we went to Chilli's and I discovered the BEST drink ever: Blackberry Lemonade. All I have to say is...Yum! try it, I dare you!
and these pictures...well, Steven and I just had to strike a pose, but mainly it's because LOOK how beautiful fall is! LOVE the leaves and the colors and even the leaves on the ground. Stepping on dry leaves is one of my favorite things to do when I'm walking outside (I'm weird like that)

And this year for Halloween we went to the Taylor's Crazy annual party. Torey goes all out for holidays, she's so cute. And of course Halloween isn't the exception.
This was my Husband's Halloween costume:
Meet Esteban. He is smooth, he is suave, he....Looks like a pedophile. But don't worry, I got my good laugh out of this one (I tell ya, this one humors me!!). Anyway, we decided to do this to cover up for what's ahead. We had to trick These little poor souls:
into believing this was his costume in order to prepare for this Costume:
The little ones were gathered in the family room and scary stories were told during a "power outage". Go figure..how creepy is a dark room for halloween when scary stories are being told?! Yikes! After Preston, Jason and Newt tried to figure out what was wrong, it was decided that "the city was just having a crazy power outage!" Well perfect timing for uncle Preston to share the Legend of Sleepy Hallow. And he also happened to know that the Headless Horseman was now making his way around the streets of Utah!! Well out we ALL go to take a look outside and check out why the neighbor's horses are going crazy and to check out the full moon. When all of a sudden around one of the buildings we see a dark figure from a distance. We took a closer look and sure enough, it was HIM. The headless Horseman, Pumpkin and all. It was way creepy...Made more than half of these brave souls cry for their mommies and make a run for it. IT WAS HILARIOUS!! Steven says he felt really bad when he heard all the kids crying and running away, he didn't know if he should stop or keep going as he was walking towards us. But it's funny, every year, apparently Torey goes all out to scare the pee out of these kids! It turned out great!
The funniest part is that Miriah, the two year old knew all along that the "visitor" was Steven, while the older kids I think to this day are still not 100% sure it was Steven. Too Fun!! it was great.
And one last thing: Had my 191/2 week appointment today and everything looks good. I'm so grateful that to this day, I'm having a healthy "normal" pregnancy. But on to the other most exciting part: We have the ultrasound apointment this Wends. And we get to find out what we're having!!! SO, let's hear it peeps. What are your guesses?? first one to post on here and gets it right.........(to be continued)

October Fun

For FHE we had a fun little activity with some friends. We decided to head down south and go into the land of Santaquin to the Big Red Barn. I don't have a picture of the actual barn there, but as I was searching on Google Image I was just thinking about how much I LOVE Big Red Barns!! Anyway, we tried to go last year and get a hayride, but we got there too late. This time we were pushing it close again and got there RIGHT at 7, which was the "last" hayride, but the owner there was so nice and took on one anyway. So we had a fun hayride, picked out our pumpkins and then headed back to the barn for some super Delicious Apple Pie Ice cream (YUM) And I also found out they sold Squeaky Cheese (YES) Then we headed to our place for some Pumpkin Carving fun. Overall it was a fun night. It's fun doing little traditional activities for the different Seasons.

Feliz Cumpleanos Estevan!!
Part Two:
here's the Goofy, I mean Cool,Good looking and Humble, Birthday Boy! I asked him to be Cheesy and this is what I got! Mission Accomplished!
For his birthday we went to Dinner at Tepanyaki, which was Very delicious, Except for our Teriyaki Lobster Tails we got...No Bueno!! Lesson learned. But the Fried Noddles totally make up for any gross thing ever!! Yum! Overall it was good, and it didn't scare him away from ever wanting to go back, which is good for me!
Then I recruited the help of his sister Sarah and my sister Cort to help with making a cake and some brownies and then Sarah came over to the house while we were away at Dinner to decorate and stuff, and I had previously invited a few of his friends to come over for a surprise get together. It was fun, he was surprised, so again...Mission accomplished.
Thanks to all those that came! I unfortunately forgot the camera in the car, so I didn't get any fun pics of the crazy party. But it was overall a fun night for him.

Happy Birthday Steven!
Part 1:
I just wanted to wish My lover Boy a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and let him know (publicly) that I LOVE HIM. So here are 24 reasons why I LOVE him. You know since he's 24 now!!
1.Because he's the Best Husband Ever! At least he tries hard to be a great husband. Although when I tell him that, he says he's the worst husband I've ever had too! haha.
2.He makes me laugh. Steven is one funny guy. He's quiet at first, but once you get to know him....he's got some funny things to say.
3.He's SMART! what a brainyack!! Glad our kids have a chance at being smart, thanks to him!
4.He is a good and worthy Priesthood Holder, and that's something I will always love about him.
5.He has a GREAT testimony. He was born and raised in the Church, but has a really good "conversion" story. And I'm glad he does....that makes his testimony that much Stronger.
6.He loves his family. But mainly, he has a love and respect for his mom and sisters, that I truly admire.
7.He has a compassionate heart. He knows the true meaning of Charity.
8.He has a passion for Spanish and because he was able to serve Spanish Speaking, he really mastered the language. I think his Spanish sounds pretty much native. He will tell you otherwise, but his Spanish is GOOD!
9.He is REAL. What you see is what you get with this boy. And I am a fan of REAL people. No fakeness about him.
10.Because of 9, He makes me feel very comfortable when I'm around him, obviously it is that way since we're married, but its always been that way with him. Our first date was awesome, because it felt like we already knew each other for a lifetime.
11.He is very Money Smart and has been able to keep us in shape money-wise. Ok, Correction, he's been able to keep ME in shape and I'm grateful for that!
12. Steven is one of those NICE people. He's just NICE!
13.He's adventurous and hardly scared of anything, which is a good thing and could be a bad thing (Hence all of his injuries) But I do admire that, since I'm the opposite.
14.He Loves me. And I LOVE that!!
15.He is SO excited about our baby and I'm excited to see him be a daddy.
16.He is great at making up songs and will randomly sing them to me and they're always funny ones.
17.I don't know what this is called, or if it even has a name, but he's great at blending words together to make another word. It's just funny and clever....Oh yeah....
18.He's very CLEVER(Ok I'll add another one) He is FUN to be with.
19.He's Talented. Good at Drawing temples, and plays the Guitar....Not a PRO at it, but plays enough to make me enjoy it!
20.He's PATIENT! wow that boy has patience. Although, when he does lose it,on the rare occasion, it's very obvious to me. hahah....But most of the time....Very Patient.
21.Along with 21, He Humors me in my many ways....(Plucking his eyebrows,Picking his clothes if we're going somewhere, picking the shoes he's gonna buy....etc. etc.)
22.He can make me laugh at any given time. He'll do anything....a silly robot voice, a weird baby cry that I actually hate so much, it makes me laugh. or a Silly/Weird/Funky face. Love it!
23.He has goals in life that I know he'll achieve, just because that's what Steven does. If he sets his mind to it, it'll happen.
24.He was willing to marry me for ETERNITY!! How lucky am I?!.
I LOVE this guy. I love being married to him, I love everything about him, and love my life with him. I Love waking up every morning and seeing him next to me. I love going to bed with him next to me. He loves to cuddle just as much as I used to. HAHA I say used to, because Pregnancy has changed that...But I love that he loves to cuddle.
Basically I LOVE Steven David Hermann! Happy Birthday Babe!

Mesa Trip

So tomorrow is Steven's birthday, and for his birthday he requested we take some time off and go back to Mesa and visit the good ole mission. So off we went. Steven got off work on Wednesday and we had planned to leave Thursday morning, but we were so excited we just spontaneously left right then and there! Oh I love living life on the edge!!;) The funny thing is that about four hours into our trip I started to stress about the time we'd arrive in Mesa (3 in the AM) and where we would go (we had arrangements of where to stay, but for our original Thurs. afternoon arrival) And my dear Husband just assures me that sleeping in the car at any Wal-Mart parking lot would be alright....SAY WHAT?? Heck no!! so good thing I thought of my good friend Tami who lives in Mesa. I called her up and set it up and was able to sleep in peace the rest of the way!
Anyhow...we had a blast while there. I was kind of afraid people wouldn't remember me. But come on Sis. Quintanilla...who wouldn't remember You??! OK, KIDDING!! I was really afraid of that, so we stuck to visiting those that we still keep in touch with...Mostly.
We stayed with the DeCesares. They are a sweet couple that serves in the Mission office as Missionaries. Elder D. is the Car Coordinator and Sis. D. is the Referral lady in the Office. And not only did they open their home to us, but they fed us a very delicious Stake dinner! Oh we're still talking about it!!
We decided that Thursday was the day to just check out Mesa and see the things we don't get to see/visit as missionaries, since we were restricted to our areas. And then Friday was my day in Mesa, since that's where I stayed for 90% of my time there. And Saturday was Steven's day in Phoenix/Scottsdale since that's where he was for the majority and the last part of his time there.
We got to visit the Garcias, A family I taught. Since at that time Steven and I were in the same zone, he helped with baptizing this family of 6. They are doing GREAT. Brother Garcia is the first counselor in the bishopric, Sis. Garcia is the first counselor in YW. the kids are doing great, and we were able to attend a baptism for one of the boy's friends. Josue, the Garcia boy, shared the gospel with this one friend of his and was also able to baptize him (his first baptism he performed). It was so great to see that they're doing so good. Just makes me feel like my time spent there as a missionary was more than worth it!!
Then we got to visit the Jennings. This family is dear to me. They are long time members that were SO helpful with the work. While there I was part of starting a branch and I seriously don't know how it would have worked if it wasn't for all the help and support this family so willingly gave. They're great! They also fed us lunch/dinner right before we headed back home, so YUMMY!
Then we hung out with the Bassetts. You see, Steven and I served in the same mission, but I only served under Pres. Watson and soon after I was done, a new Mission President came, so Steven had two Mission Presidents and I never met the new one. And since Steven is obsessed with the Bassetts we had to make time to visit them. Actually, truth be told, instead of him asking me to go back to the mission he should have just said that for his birthday he wanted to go and visit the Bassetts. that would have been more accurate.
I would have loved to have served while President Bassett was President, he sounds like a Hoot! We had a good time visiting, and Steven made dinner for them. So it was fun spending time with them. Turns out they're just as obsessed with him as he is with them. (don't know how I feel about this......) ;)
Overall, we had a really fun time while back in Mesa. We went to In & Out a couple of times, of course we had BAHAMA BUCKS, and went by the Visitor Center (even though we didn't know anyone there). It was HOT, I got grumpy multiple times, because of the HEAT. Turns out HEAT=HATE!
Overall it was a really fun trip and I'm glad we got to go. Also, the LONG car ride is something I looked forward to. I enjoy being able to talk to Steven during those long trips.
Good times!!
